'Jiro - dreams of sushi' is a critically acclaimed documentary style movie about an 85 year old sushi master in Tokyo. He is widely known to prepare the best Sushi in the world. In spite of all the fame, he is perfectly happy to keep his small restaurant that only has 10 seats, instead of expanding to a larger or even multiple restaurants in search of higher profits. All he cares about is to perfect his craft, to try to make his sushi just a little bit better every day, as he has done over the past couple of decades.Read More
WhatsApp has become one of my most important messaging apps. One major disadvantage of WhatsApp though is that the App only really exists on mobile, but doesn’t have a desktop/browser app - until now!Read More
Who are the five people you spend the most time with and how do they affect you?
We are exposed to external influences all the time, consciously or unconsciously. It could be the things we watch and listen to, the buildings we work and live in, but most importantly, it's the people who surround us.
I learnt about this idea from authors Darren Hardy (The Compound Effect) and Jim Rohn. They state that you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. This affects all areas of your life...Read More
if you are older than 16, you might be wondering: why on earth do I need another messaging app if I already have iMessage, Facebook Messenger and What’s App? And isn’t Snapchat only for sexting anyway?
Snapchat is quite the phenomenom: founded in 2012 by a couple of Stanford students, it developed from being a supposedly niche product for sending nude pictures to being the hottest social media app of 2015, boasting over 100m users and the world’s biggest internet investors value it at > $ 15 bn.Read More
I have owned an iPad for 5 years now and have downloaded some drawing apps in the past, but today I really tried it out for the first time and it is incredibly fun and easy. I used the 'Paper' app (available for iPhone and iPad), but there are many other like 'Procreate' or 'Sketchbox Express'. You can just use your finger, but it's better with a stylus. You can get some pretty good ones on Amazon starting from 5$, and there are some professional styluses (styli?) like the Apple Pencil or Pencil by 53 (the company behind the paper app).Read More
One of the most annoying things when surfing the internet are those video ads that start automatically when you open a website. Fortunately, you can solve this problem quite easily without any additional software.
For Google Chrome:
Just type " chrome://settings/content " into your address bar and then under "Plugins" select "Let me choose when to run plugin content". Now there should be no more auto-playing videos and you can select whiche videos to watch by clicking the play button.
For Safari and Firefox:
There are some extensions called ClicktoFlash or ClickToPlugin, but I haven't tried these.
I hope this was helpful. If you liked this article, please share it with your friends and like us on Facebook. If you have any questions or tips of your own, please leave them in the comment section.

Nobody loves online ads. In fact, they are not just terribly annoying, but they also slow down your computer and can even cost you money!
Whenever you open a a website in your web browser, the browser not only loads the content you want to watch or read, it also loads a ton of banner ads. Not only does this make everything super slow, but it also eats into your mobile data plan. I saw some studies that showed that we use about 30% of our mobile data for loading ads!
